Summer is in full swing in The Heart of Vancouver! Come along and enjoy a performance by Musiki Parea!
Musiki Parea, a beloved Vancouver-based music group, has been enriching the local arts and culture scene with their soulful and spirited performances since 2000. Formed during a summer gathering at Mendocino Balkan Camp, original members Kate and Erika Gerson, Laura Blumenthal, and Wendy Cutler laid the foundation for what would become one of Metro Vancouver’s most cherished folk ensembles. The group later welcomed Joe Condie and Mark Hamilton to round out their dynamic lineup.
Specialising in traditional and urban Greek music, Musiki Parea creates a vibrant, authentic atmosphere at every performance. Their repertoire includes folk songs from villages across Greece, classic urban Greek tunes, and cross-cultural music from neighbouring traditions—especially Turkish and Balkan styles.
