About the Tourism Challenge

Cambie Village is known for its perfect blend of charm, community and one-of-a-kind independent stores. Discover The Heart of Vancouver and see for yourself why TimeOut declared Cambie as one of the Coolest Streets in the World! The Challenge is a fun tradition giving staff and volunteers of participating tourism industry partners the opportunity to explore Vancouver and its surrounding areas. Please note it is not open to the public.

How will the scavenger hunt work this year?

Between April 18th and May 31st, 2026, participants can follow a self-guided route through Cambie Village, solving riddles along the way. Each stop will provide a new riddle to solve. Solve the riddles and find yourself at the third stop where you will receive your stamps.

Solve the riddle below to take you to the starting location!

Riddle #1

For notes, for style, for gifts to share,

You’ll find something special for you to wear.

A name inspired by the sea,

With tusks that make it easy to see.

Hint: Look for the big “W” outside the store!

To complete the challenge, participants must:

The article highlights a unique initiative in Cambie Village, focusing on community engagement and exploration. However, it raises questions about inclusivity and access for the general public. Events like this often cater to a select audience, leaving many out of the experience. It reminds me of how events in Vegas Now can create buzz but can also be alienating for those not in the loop. Balancing exclusivity with inclusivity is key.
