Chances are you have walked through Cambie Village on a Tuesday evening and witnessed the line for Rain or Shine Ice Cream stretching down the block!
For more than a decade, co-owners Blair and Josie have served up more than scoops; they have created “moments of happiness” in our neighbourhood. There is something special about their rich, creamy, flavourful ice-cream that sets them apart and keeps us coming back for more.
We sat down with the duo to talk about how their travels inspired the beginning of an entrepreneurial journey to what is now one of Vancouver’s most enjoyed ice-cream store.
If you didn’t know, the name "Rain or Shine" was born from the true Vancouver spirit. As Josie explained, "We get out rain or shine no matter what. I was hoping that would transfer to getting ice cream... it can be had all year round, not just in the summer."

Josie and Blair’s playful spirit is in everything they do, including their signature purple and yellow decor to their unofficial mascot, “Uni” the cow-unicorn. Above all is their commitment to quality to use pure ingredients, local flavours, and scratch-made waffle cones.
